What you should know
PLEASE KNOW THAT
No two sessions, just like no two sunsets, are ever alike. I go into every session with an open mind and heart, ready to learn about YOU and use my art to bring your memories to life. You have chosen to invest in me and I will in return do the same for you. With my whole heart. All sessions are scheduled during golden hour (1 hour before sunrise or sunset) on a beautiful beach or park of your choice in Santa Rosa Beach or Destin. I have a client location guide to help you choose a location that you will love! As a photographer, I love warm images and soft, golden sunlight. I love posed and "unposed" shots and I strive to be as candid as possible along with minimally posed moments here and there when the moment is right. During your session you can expect lots of movement, joy and all of the cuddling and gentle kisses you can stand.
If you are visiting PLEASE book as soon as you know your dates. My husband and I also own and operate an adventure company that is seasonal, so I get pretty booked up between the two. I only offer sunrise and sunset on the beach, other times available through day for non beach sessions.
ABOUT ME & MY STYLE
My name is Jennifer Briggs and I live in Santa Rosa Beach. I am married to my best friend and we have three beautiful children that keep us on our toes. I love working with real people to capture beautiful moments. My style is organic, sweet, and pure. I believe in capturing raw emotion where you can experience it in the photograph. Because I believe photography is art, I truly believe your images should be displayed, not kept on a hard drive somewhere. I encourage prints and albums, though digital images are available.
MY PROMISE
We will have fun working together. I will make corny jokes and silly faces from behind the camera. I will listen to your story and to who you are and put my heart into capturing that with integrity. At your family session I will come ready to capture unique personalities, goofy moments and everything in between. I would be so honored to capture a timeless milestone in your family.
YOUR SESSION
Every session begins by us getting to know each other. We'll chat for a few minutes before I even take out my camera. This time is essential to capturing real people and their real stories. I don't want anyone I work with to feel like they are merely a time slot in my day. You are so much more than that! Every session and every client is different. I’m excited to learn what inspires you and then discuss any ideas about what you envision for your photos.

Finding the right photographer is so important. Finding a photographer who appreciates the details and focuses on what’s special to you is essential. First and foremost, I listen to you. I talk to you. Why do you want pictures? What does this season of your life look like? How do you want to remember it? What is most important to you? I want to make sure we are a good fit for each other and that I am the photographer who can best tell your story.

This simple package is perfect for families, maternity, seniors and couples sessions. A little more photography time allows for those organic, natural unposed and posed moments that my clients love to unfold easily. We're able to capture a variety of images, an optional outfit change as well as plenty of time to have some fun on the beach! 30+ images

BASIC TIPS
- Most beach portrait sessions will have some wind, please have an alternate plan for hair if it is windy. I recommend bringing hair ties for your little girls.
- Every gallery will look different based on weather, wind, & water color. If you are trying to achieve something special, please let me know.
- I will edit my favorites and will retouch up to 5 images after editing, face swap and extensive editing will be billed on an hourly basis of $40 per hour.
- Solid colors always photograph well. There's no risk of distracting from faces, joyful interactions or even the beautiful scenery of emerald waters here.
- Ladies: look for soft, natural fabrics that drape and flow. These make for beautiful portraits and give a sense of motion.
- Choose colors to pick up the beautiful colors of the Gulf and sunset. Neutrals such as soft pinks, cream, muted blues, soft greens and white all photograph extremely, blending effortlessly with the natural elements rather than competing with them.
- When in doubt select one patterned outfit for a single person in the family and then pull colors from that pattern to dress everyone else in solid colors to coordinate.
- Don't worry about shoes. Plan on being barefoot as shoes in the sand aren't really practical and look a little odd. In fact, please don't bring nice sandals to the beach! Sand is pretty good at getting everywhere.
- Bring a change of clothes or backup shirt/bottoms for little ones and a towel. Someone inevitably gets a bit wet and sandy from the ocean sprays or surprise dips in the ocean!
